To all of Nate Thayer’s friends, enemies and lovers around the world, we are saddened to inform you that Nate has passed on due to his ongoing battle with a myriad of ailments, not least of which, the sepsis in his foot which was the result of an antagonistic landmine in 1989.
Nate lived his life with passion and courage, and was an inspiration to countless young writers. His unrelenting quest for the truth, no matter the personal sacrifice, was a testament to his strong character and unwavering constitution.
Nate lived life on his own terms, and he defined himself through his journalism. In his final years he may have been a cantankerous, gruff old sot, but his courageous reporting was above reproach, and he was a friend to anti-fascists across the globe.
May Nate be remembered for his many good deeds, his spirit of adventure, and his uncanny ability to shine a light on the truth, especially when those in power did not want the truth to be known.
Nate will be missed. But we are determined for his legacy to live on. Nate was working on a major exposé which we will publish here, as well as all the old articles we can dig up. We hope to do him right.
